Holiday Inn Resort Fort Walton was my choice for a staycation weekend.

My weekend stay at this lovely resort was truly an adventure. This was a road trip that took about six hours for which we did road stops for restroom, lunch and endured a one hour change in time as we traveled from Tampa Bay to the emerald coast of Florida.

Traveling is always a fun thing to do, and  I enjoy it so much. Living in Florida, there are so many places that you can visit and experience a little bit of paradise.  I happen to be one of those who enjoy beach and ocean style living, even if the stay is for a short period of time.

A bit about the decor:  The inn was decked in beautiful contemporary style of  bright colors, which I loved.

The view from my suite overlooked the beautiful ocean(Gulf of Mexico) and although I wasn’t where I could experience the sunrise or sunset from there, the ocean view was breathtaking. However, my walk in the early mornings to view the sunrise was just as beautiful.  I could sit on my patio and enjoy the view of the ocean.

This resort hotel has two pools, an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. This hotel has so much to offer, you don’t have to leave the property to have the fun time of your life.

My weekend here was one of joy and fun with family as we took to the road for this resort adventure. I look forward to returning here for another staycation, but would like to stay a longer than 2 nights. Can’t wait to enjoy again!

Are you ready for a staycation? Where would you like to go?
