Sometimes you just have to get away! Have you found yourself feeling stressed, tired and in need of a little relaxation and you want to reflect on things that have been going on in your life. Sometimes, a get away can help you with that. One for me is the feeling of not wanting to step foot back into another hospital or medical care facility any time soon. So I was in need of opening my mind, my heart, my soul, my spirit and some reflection. So, I took this opportunity to rejuvenate myself.
As I was given the opportunity to spend a five day get away with my family, I couldn’t say NO! Meeting up with my sister and her husband at one of our frequent resort spots. Taking a peek at our lovely two bedroom suite overlooking the water, I was ready to unpack and get ready for my stay. We soon got together to travel to pick up and fill up on eats that we would need for our five day stay, so we journeyed to one of the local Walmart stores to stock our refrigerator. We found a new one located just off highway 92 near Disney.
On our second day, we decided to take in some local activities so we went to Disney Springs where we dined at the Rain Forest Cafe for a late lunch. Since October, this is my third time visiting with family members. I came here for my birthday, I enjoyed it, then I brought my sister and our dad here in December because I had told them about it and wanted them to visit. However, this particular time my sister wanted to take her husband, therefore, I visited again making this my third time. Enjoyable again.
One of my favorite things to do when I am away from home, is sitting on the patio having a hot cup of coffee or tea when I get up in the morning. On my third morning as I went to the patio to sit and have some reflection time, I was greeted with this lovely shadow/reflection on this building beaming from the water. I didn’t see this on my first morning, but the reflection in the water of this building in the far distance gave me a new perspective on my stay. I began to think about the awesomeness of God, and even though the lake is a man made lake it was just an awesome sight. This reflection only last for a time of about two hours, and then it gradually fades away. Now how awesome is that, and when you get up the next morning, it was there again. I was just loving it!
Sometimes, you just have to get away! You never know what will awaken your inner spirit.
