Easy crock pot great northern beans is all you need. Looking for a great meal for the family and have dinner ready when you get home from work. These dry beans will do the trick.
As with most bean recipes, versatile is endless because you can add to them whatever you want and make a great meal.
This easy crock pot meal will not disappoint. You can put them on before you leave for work and by the time the kids get home from school, its READY for the table.
There are others ways you can prepare your beans for cooking. You can soak them over night, or pre-cook them prior to adding them to the slow cooker. I cooked these beans pictured with no pre-soaking or cooking, just wash them and placed them in the slow cooker on medium heat.
These beans can be served over rise, as a soup, or can be used as a dip when mashed. Additional ingredients can be added to make it as simple and as tasty as you would like.
Many times I cook them without meat, vegan style, but today I decided to add smoked turkey. I will be serving mine with with some good ole fashioned Jiffy cornbread(my helper in the time of need ) since I have difficulty making it from scratch. Awe, but don’t laugh at me, you can’t make it from scratch either! Right :).
